History
The Gagliasso company was born in the 1960s as an agricultural company named Gagliasso Michele e Figli and in 1971 they produced the first family Barolo. Mario, the founder’s son, has been running the company since the 1980s.
People
Mario and his wife Luciana allow the growth of the company renewing the vineyards, enlarging and modernising the cellar, but always with deep roots in tradition. In the 2000s, their children Luca and Nicoletta – both wine technicians, started playing an active role in the company. The strength of the Gagliasso family comes from the love and passion for the land and for great wines, a deep-rooted culture of Langhe cuisine and a dedication to welcoming the visitors.
Vineyards
The vineyards cover about 15 hectares divided between the villages of La Morra, Monforte, Novello and Cherasco.
Wines
The Gagliasso family produces the typical Langhe wines. To be mentioned are Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata and Barolo Torriglione and in the great years with selections they also produce the Barolo Riserva.
