Bosco Agostino

Via Fontane 24 La Morra CN | T. +39 0173.509466

History

The Bosco Agostino farm, founded by Bosco Pietro, born in 1904, had for years focused its activity mainly on wine growing. 1979 was the year of the turning point: the decision was made to stop selling the grapes produced with such care and to devote more space to winemaking on his own, in order to present to the market the wine that was previously only for family use. This new experience was so successful that Pietro was soon joined by his youngest son Agostino, who began working in the vineyard and in the cellar with great patience, precision and intuition.

People

The founder of the farm was Bosco Pietro (1904 - 1983). After his father's death, Agostino continued to work on the farm, showing such self-denial and love for this activity that he was able to involve his wife Carla as well. At present the company continues to be run as a family business, with father Agostino dedicating himself to work in the vineyard, and his son Andrea following the evolution of the wines in the cellar with meticulous competence, in search of the best.

Vineyards

The company's vineyard area is currently about 4 hectares divided between Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. All the vineyards are owned and fall exclusively within the municipality of La Morra.

Wines

The company produces and markets four wines: two are Barolo, from Neirane and La Serra, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo.
