As always, the Cantina Comunale of la Morra has the honor to present the new Barolo vintage with a great event: Hill Barolo, on June 30th and July 1st 2018.

The Barolo 2014 and the Gala Dinner
On Saturday, 30th June Piedmont and Trentino, equally beautiful regions even if so different in climate, soil and traditions, are going to meet, creating an interesting and unusual opportunity to grasp the unique features of their products.
In the first part of the evening the Barolo 2014 will be presented in the Cantina Comunale by oenologist Sergio Molino and by Prof. Armando Gambera. The presentation will be followed by a gala dinner prepared by Andrea Ribaldone of Osteria Arborina, one Michelin star. The dinner will have a musical acoompaniment.
Barolo from La Morra will be the star of the event, but dry (as aperitif) and sweet wines from Trentino will be offered as well, in order to celebrate the union of these two wonderful territories.

Special guest of the evening, the champion pallapugno star Massimo Vacchetto, who is going to be awarded the title of “Ambassador of Barolo 2014” for Italian sport. Pallapugno is a type of competitive handball that is traditional in Piedmont.
The dinner will be held outdoors.
In the event of bad weather, the dinner will take place indoors (in the hall of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele).

Chef Andrea Ribaldone
Born in Milan of a family from Piedmont, Andrea Ribaldone started his career in the kitchen of Riccardo Aiachini, founder of Ristorante La Fermata in Alessandria, whon he considers his mentor. There he got his first Michelin star.
He work with the famous French chef Alain Senderens in Parigi at the restaurant Lucas Carton and in 2014 he opened the I Due Buoi in Alessandria, michelin star in december 2015.
In march 2017 he came to Osteria Arborina in La Morra and after only 8 months he was recognized with a Michelin star.

Sunday, 1st of July
On Sunday, 1st of July there will be a wine tasting in the Cantina Comunale together with local wine producers, in order to discover the history and the main features of Barolo from La Morra.
Tasting from 11 to 5 pm.
A reservation is not required for the wine tasting.
Participants in the Gala dinner enjoy free admission to the wine tasting on Sunday.
