the Ca dj’amis
At the beginning of Via Vittorio Emanuele is the Ca dj’amis of Claudia Ferraresi, a private lounge that hosts art and craft meetings and exhibitions.
Every year, in the autumn, the Ciao d’la Ca is awarded to those who, through their work, have contributed to promote this region.
In ’99 the CERETTO brothers had the idea of restoring a small chapel located in Brunate, one of their renowned Barolo vineyards, commissioning the work to two artists, the American SOL LEWITT for the external decoration and the English DAVID TREMLETT for the interior.
The end result is striking for the intense and vibrant colours and the geometric patterns of the outside, reminiscent of the adjacent hills, in contrast to the more linear, sober and meditative shades of the interior.
