History
The story of Cascina del Monastero began when Alessio Grasso, a winemaker of Treiso, became the owner of Cascina Luciani and of the surrounding vineyards. This was a farm located in the hamlet of Annunziata of La Morra, which had belonged to the Benedictine convent of Marcenasco and had been run for 300 years by the monks of San Pietro of Savigliano.
People
A worthy heir to the founder Giuseppe – his grandson, who today runs the company together with his wife Velda, helped by their children Loris and Giada.
Vineyards
The estate vineyards are located in Annunziata of La Morra, in the hamlet Perno of Monforte d’Alba and in Roddino.
Wines
The winery produces the typical Langhe wines, from Dolcetto to Barolo, including Nebbiolo and Barbera.
